# About the Whatsapp API

You can only use the WhatsApp API with Support Desk if you meet the following requirements:

  1. WhatsApp For Business Number
    You must have a dedicated WhatsApp For Business Number.

    • This number cannot be linked to any other businesses.
    • It must be exclusively used for your business operations.
  2. META Business Account
    Your WhatsApp For Business Account needs to be linked to your META Business Account to enable API functionality.

# Important Notes

  • Dedicated Number Requirement
    The WhatsApp For Business number used in Support Desk must be a dedicated number and cannot be shared with other businesses.

  • Migration
    If you use your current WhatsApp Business number in Support Desk, it will no longer be usable with the WhatsApp Business app.
    You will need to migrate the number by following the instructions here:
